Education > KINDERGARTEN

Each child. Each day.

We believe students learn best through active learning and positive reinforcement.

Curriculum

Our teachers use a multi-sensory, evidence-based curriculum that goes beyond standards. We assess and appreciate each child's strengths, challenges, individual interests and gifts.

Personalization

Small group instruction, with one lead teacher and one assistant teacher, allows students to strengthen reading skills and encourages each child to become an independent, respectful, and productive member of the school community.

Beyond standards

Using a multi-sensory approach, we help our students articulate ideas, both in conversation and writing. Students practice writing daily, progressively mastering their written skills and applications. Phonemic awareness is taught to help students build a strong foundation for reading. Small classes allow for personalized instruction.

Science of tomorrow

Project Lead the Way (STEM) curriculum provides a truly hands on approach to science that involves real life applications with each unit. Kindergarteners engage in activities that explore the structure and function of design and human body, pushes and pulls as well as animals and algorithms.

A visit to the art studio

The Arts are a pillar of a Saint Mark's education. Evidence shows that developing artistic expression (physical, musical, dramatic) leads to educational gains in math and science.
