Inspired Imaginations

At Saint Mark’s we weave artistic expression and imagination throughout the curriculum and believe the study of visual and performing arts is a vital component for a well-rounded education. Students learn to take risks, build confident self-expression, develop sensitivity to cultural differences and respect the work of fellow students.

Visual Arts

Take a tour of the art studio

We encourage students to experiment with art materials, investigate the history of art, and explore the ideas and themes of different movements and periods. Students learn how the elements of design – such as line, shape, form, texture, color and space – can be used to express themselves visually.

Themes for art projects often integrate with other aspects of the curriculum to create a richer academic experience – for instance in 6th grade, art and social studies curriculums are partnered.

Our dedicated art studio is filled with resources and materials to support drawing, painting, sculpting, ceramics (including a kiln) and much more.

Music

Saint Mark’s embraces music

Music is an important part of life at Saint Mark’s. Whether performing or listening appreciatively, every student experiences music as a part of their weekly class schedule.
