Grades 1-4

Each child. Each day.

Our lower school provides a supportive community and a sense of belonging that helps children master reading, writing, mathematics and social-emotional skills. Our students are very proud to be Saint Mark's Lions!

Curriculum

Our curriculum is thorough, rigorous and rooted in best practices. Classroom instruction is student-centered, project-based and personalized. Our students explore information, make meaningful connections and solve problems both collaboratively and independently.

Future leaders

We celebrate successes and perseverance. Saint Mark's is a safe place to fail, learn and try again. These essential life skills and habits begin in Lower School, continue through Middle School and benefit students well after their time at Saint Mark's ends. We are developing our future leaders!

Developing future leaders

Students have the opportunity to take on leadership in many forms at Saint Mark’s – from Student Council, to being an athletic team captain to reading in chapel in front of the entire school - leadership skills are a part of the daily fabric of Saint Mark’s.
