Take a tour of the art studio
We encourage students to experiment with art materials, investigate the history of art, and explore the ideas and themes of different movements and periods. Students learn how the elements of design – such as line, shape, form, texture, color and space – can be used to express themselves visually.
Themes for art projects often integrate with other aspects of the curriculum to create a richer academic experience – for instance in 6th grade, art and social studies curriculums are partnered.
Our dedicated art studio is filled with resources and materials to support drawing, painting, sculpting, ceramics (including a kiln) and much more.

Music
Saint Mark’s embraces music
Music is an important part of life at Saint Mark’s. Whether performing or listening appreciatively, every student experiences music as a part of their weekly class schedule.
Featuring: Marie Cowley
Lower School
Our curriculum provides the building blocks to explore music. From keyboarding, to percussion, to rhythm, to recorders, our students are immersed in music. Annual performances give all Saint Mark’s students experience in performing for an audience of peers, family and friends.
Middle School
Our middle school students graduate with a proficiency in reading music applied through band instruments or vocally.
Annual Musical Production
Students from 3rd-8th grade can try out to be a part of our annual musical, held in the Spring. The production includes an orchestra, choreography, full costumes and many opportunities to be involved from set design to stage management to performance roles. Musicals include Frozen, Shrek, Sound of Music, Guy and Dolls and many more.
