Each Wednesday, the school community, Grades 4 through 8, gather to celebrate the Eucharist: Holy Communion, Rite II. Here the students are exposed to and participate in what stands at the center of our Christian living. Students are trained and function as cross bearers, acolytes, readers, psalmists, song leaders, and ushers.
While the Episcopal tradition would welcome any baptized Christian to the Lord’s table, the diversity of thought and practice in this regard is reverenced and respected.
Some have questioned that time and energy we spend on Daily Chapels. We stand committed to their place in the life of the school community, and this commitment is reaffirmed when our graduates visit and recall how those experiences of chapel equipped them to deal with the blessings, challenges, and disappointments that life can often present.
