Chapel

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Chapel

Students in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten gather once each week for Chapel. Here they learn prayers and songs that are foundational in the Judeo-Christian tradition. They hear wonderful stories from the Old and New Testaments, along with a short reflection on how these stories apply to us today. They celebrate the times and seasons of the Church calendar, along with noting observances in other religious traditions, and the secular calendar.

Lower School Chapel

Each day, Lower School students gather for chapel, which is a simplified, age-appropriate form of Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. They hear scriptural stories from the Old and New Testaments, along with a brief reflection on what God’s Word has to say to us today.

While celebrating the times and season of the church calendar, they celebrate the observances of other religious traditions and the secular calendar. Students are trained and function as cross bearers, acolytes, readers, psalmists, song leaders, and ushers.

Middle School Chapel

Each day, Middle School students gather for chapel, which is a simplified, age-appropriate form of Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. They hear scriptural stories from the Old and New Testaments, along with a brief reflection on what God’s Word has to say to us today.

While celebrating the times and season of the church calendar, they celebrate the observances of other religious traditions, and the secular calendar as well. Students are trained and function as cross bearers, acolytes, readers, psalmists, song leaders, and ushers.
