Cub Choir (Kindergarten-Grade 2) and Jr. Singing Lions (Grades 3-4)
Students are welcome to join the Cub Choir (K-grade 2) or Junior Singing Lions (grades 3-4). They rehearse for 30 minutes after school once per week. Choir members focus on vocal performance skills outside of the regular music class. The choirs are featured during the concerts and musical programs, including The Lower School Christmas program, Spring Sing, and chapel services.
5th and 6th Grade Choir
In 5th and 6th grade, students decide to concentrate in either band or choir. Choir students learn the basics of vocal performance while studying music theory fundamentals. The choir performs several times throughout the year.
Every student in grades 7-8 can pursue vocal training in the Singing Lions. The group rehearses three days per week for 45 minutes during the school day and performs at events such as Episcopal School Sunday, Advent Chapel, Vocal Solo and Ensemble, and the Spring Choir Concert.
The Chamber Choir is an auditioned group of 7th and 8th grade students who have a passion for singing. They regularly perform at Wednesday Eucharist and events including Episcopal School Sunday, Advent Chapel, Florida Vocal Association Music Assessment, and the Spring Concert.
Private Voice Lessons
Private voice lessons are scheduled through the St. Mark’s afterschool program.
