Dear Prospective Families,The faculty and I welcome you to St. Mark’s Episcopal School. Each day we warmly greet students ranging from Toddlers (12 months) through 8th grade who are eager to learn. As an Episcopal School, we inspire in our students a love of Christ, a dedication to service and a strong desire to achieve success through learning.
Our small class sizes and nurturing environment complement a varied curriculum that provides for a well-rounded program based upon our four pillars of education: academic excellence, the arts, athletics and spirituality. The academic program at St. Mark’s prepares students for the honors track in high school by offering advanced classes in math, language arts and Spanish. We integrate traditional methods of learning with new designs such as offering the Project Lead the Way STEM curriculum starting in kindergarten with an emphasis on coding, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and innovation, as well as the opportunity to explore STEM careers.
The extensive Fine Arts Program offers visual arts, chorus, beginning, intermediate and advanced band, musical theater, flute choir and steel drum band.
St. Marks’ Athletic Program offers over 17 seasonal sports teams starting in Middle School (grades 5-8). Facilities include a state of the art gym and field, golf and swimming at Coral Ridge Country Club, and a tennis program for students starting in 5th grade at the Tennis Club.
Community service and the honor code are integral to the service and leadership opportunities provided to our students.
St. Mark’s respects and educates a diverse student population in the context of Christian values with the understanding we can learn from all religious faiths. Students participate in chapel and weekly Eucharist as acolytes, readers, ushers and cross bearers, and also partake in weekly religion classes.
As you can see, at St. Mark’s we offer a wide variety of learning opportunities to educate the whole child in a manner that emphasizes the love of learning. We view each child as an individual with a unique potential for success.
I am incredibly proud of the work done at our school and I sincerely look forward to discussing with you the academic, spiritual, and personal goals you have set for your child. Please call and schedule a visit with us, so you can see first-hand the benefits of a St. Mark’s education.
