St. Marks’ Early Childhood and Preschool/Kindergarten programs provide an academically advanced curriculum in the areas of math, language acquisition, reading readiness, science and geography. The program is complimented with enrichment classes in Spanish, physical education, technology, music, media (library), religion, art, and Project Lead the Way robotics and engineering starting in Kindergarten and many enrichment class offerings after school.
The St. Mark’s faculty is stellar and continually engage in professional development that provides personalization and differentiation in instruction. Mrs. McGee-PK2 teacher, Mrs. Weaver-PK4 teacher, Mrs. Hood and Mrs. McCardle-Kindergarten teachers have all been recipients of the St. Mark’s Lower School Teacher of the Year Award. These outstanding teachers bring years of experience and superior performance that sets high academic standards at an early age. Our most recent new addition to the faculty, Ms. Caroline Lang in PK4, is a recent graduate of Florida State University with a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Tami Stalder-Terrific Toddler teacher (12 months), Mrs. Caron Pangallo-PK2 teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Garcia Lavin and Ms. Patty Fee-PK3 teachers, all are highly regarded educators who bring special gifts and talents that provide a loving and nurturing environment.
With a low student-teacher ratio, opportunity for parent involvement and an outstanding faculty, St. Mark’s provides that special intimate setting for your child. St. Mark’s accepts students as young as 12 months through Grade 8 and is hosting an Open House on June 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Media Center.
