Dan and Sigrid McCawley have been a part of the St. Mark’s community since 2009.  They have four children at the school: Madeleine in PK -2, twins Max and Zac in 2nd Grade and Kincaid in 5th grade.

Dan is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig law firm, where he focuses his practice on real estate matters. Sigrid is a Partner at Boies Schiller Flexner where she focuses her practice on handling complex litigation cases throughout the country.

Year after year, the McCawley’s are among the top donors to the St. Mark’s Annual Fund.  We asked them why.

Q: Why did you choose St. Mark’s for your family?

A: We believe St. Mark’s has the perfect balance of academic development and character development.

Q: What is your favorite thing about St. Mark’s?

A: The class sizes are small so the teachers really get to have a relationship with every student and every child has an individualized academic plan.

Q: What type of impact has the school had on your children?

A: We have four very different children at the school, and each child is able to grow and flourish in their own way.

Q: Why do you donate to the Annual Fund?

A: The school has improved every year we have been there under Father Bob and Principal Rotella’s guidance.  We want to support their vision for the future of the school.

Q: What would you want prospective families to know about the school?

There is a tremendous passion that runs throughout the school.  Whether your child has an interest in math, drama, sports, music, literature or something else, you will find teachers who really connect with your child and keep them engaged.
